Shri Ajay Shankar Dubey
Exposed corruption in mining lease cases and MGNREGS in M.P.
Shri Ajay Shankar Dubey is a ‘Right to Information’ Activist. He is using RTI Act as a weapon to expose the cases of the violation of laws, the neglect of duties and corrupt practices by the Govt. officials in responsible positions. He has taken recourse to legal remedies and got landmark judgment to expose corruption in the Govt. Departments. Some of the noteworthy efforts of Shri Dubey are Environmental degradation of natural resources in Madhya Pradesh due to illegal mining; corruption in implementation of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme in Madhya Pradesh and unnecessary expenditure in the name of Protection of Tigers in Panna Tiger Reserve. Shri Dubey’s unrelenting efforts have resulted in exposure of corruption in a number of cases.
Shri Ajay Shankar Dubey is awarded the ‘S R Jindal Prize– 2012’ at the hands of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji jointly with Shri Satyendra Kumar Dubey, Shri. Sanjeeb Singh Katiyar and Shri Subhash Chandra Agrawal in the field of ‘Crusade against Corruption’. The Award carries a Cash Prize of Rs. 1 Crore to be shared equally.
