WHY THE PRIZE

Social service has traditionally been a part of the Indian culture. Several selfless workers have been working silently and have over the years rendered considerable service towards welfare of the people.

It is imperative that the society acknowledges their contribution and honours them with the amount of respect they deserve, so that others are inspired to take the cause ahead

It is with this objective in view that the Foundation has decided to institute the 'SR Jindal Prize'. Focus of the venture is more on the direct service rendered by one towards mitigating hardships of Indian Citizens, than limiting it to honoring a genius.
