Bhagwan Mahaveer Vikalang Sahayata Samiti is doing outstanding work in the field of service to the physically handicapped and has so far provided fitments and other aids and appliances free of cost to more than 12 lakh physically disabled persons. Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahyata Samiti provides more than 20,000 limbs per year which is the highest number of artificial limbs in a year in the world. By continuous technology improvements, they are able to bring down the average cost per limb to US$ 45 as against US$ 10,000 in USA.
Stanford University of USA and BMVSS have jointly invented Jaipur Knee which has been hailed as one of the 50 best inventions in 2009.
Bhagwan Mahaveer Vikalang Sahayata Samiti, Jaipur is awarded ‘S R Jindal Prize– 2012’ at the hands of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji jointly with Narain Seva Sansthan,Udaipur for their selfless service for treatment and rehabilitation of physically handicapped persons. This Award carries a Cash Prize of Rs. 1 Crore to be shared equally.
