Whistle blower who sacrificed his life for exposing corruption in NHAI
Throughout his short career, Shri Satyendra Kumar Dubey, did not allow any irregularity by close and strict supervision enforcing the quality and quantity of works done by the contractors of NHAI. His fearless attitude, commitment to ethical practices and insistence on strict compliance of rules and terms of contracts resulted in severe personal harassment and discomfort. He was murdered by vested interests who could not get away with their corrupt practices. Shri Satyendra Kumar Dubey made the supreme sacrifice of his life in his ‘crusade against corruption’.
Satyendra Kumar Dubey, Bihar is awarded ‘S R Jindal Prize – 2012’ posthumously at the hands Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji jointly with Shri Sanjeeb Singh Katiyar, Shri Subhash Chandra Agrawal and Shri Ajay Dubey in the field of ‘Crusade against Corruption'. The Award carries a Cash Prize of Rs. 1 Crore to be shared equally.
